Opening Night at the Roadside Gallery

The ribbon was cut at 7:00. At 7:03, every painting moved one wall to the left. The guests assumed this was part of the show and applauded.

The curator, who does not exist, issued a statement from behind the vending machine. It consisted of a cough and the word “intentional.”

By closing time, the smallest painting had taken over the office.
